Inti Hernández’s work centers on the construction of public sites aimed at generating dialogue and communication among a broad cross-section of society.  His “environments” are highly informed by architecture and design, yet are conceptually anchored in philosophical frameworks of Greco-Roman ideals in which public space and civil society are linked.

Hernández lives in Amsterdam and works between Cuba and Amsterdam.  He has exhibited widely in Europe and participated in numerous residencies in London, Venezuela and Amsterdam, including the prestigious Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten. He is part of a younger generation of artists who emerged in the early 2000s.
